We’re a UK-wide cadet force with more than 40,000 members aged between 12 and 20 years.

The Royal Air Force Air Cadets (RAF AC) offers a wide range of activities designed to challenge and develop the cadets.

​

With an RAF AC Squadron in most towns and cities you will become a member of one of the largest uniformed youth groups in the United Kingdom.

As a cadet you will have the chance to experience life on an RAF base both within the UK and abroad.

Established in 1941, 3 main aims were set up by Royal Warrant

• To promote and encourage among young people a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force.

• To provide training which will be useful in the Service and in civilian life.

• To foster the spirit of adventure and to develop the qualities of leadership and good citizenship.
